The Experience

We're not a drive-thru.

The name is playful — the ceremony is anything but. You drive up, you come inside, and we give you a real wedding: vows you mean, a chapel that feels intentional, and a minister who'll never rush you through it.

Think of us as the antidote to a Tarrant County courthouse wedding. Same simplicity, none of the fluorescent lights.

Common Questions

Things couples always ask.

Quick answers about elopement costs, marriage licenses, timing, and what makes our DFW chapel different from a courthouse.

How much does it cost to elope in DFW?

Drive Up & Wed elopement packages start at $250 — that includes the chapel, a licensed Texas minister, and a 30-minute private ceremony. The Heartfelt at $650 adds photography, a bridal bouquet, and a small wedding cake. The Gathering at $950 hosts up to 15 guests with wedding cake for all and a champagne toast. Micro weddings up to 40 guests start at $1,500 with food, photography, and reception space included.

Do I need a marriage license to get married in Texas?

Yes. Both partners must apply in person at any county clerk's office in Texas — your license is valid statewide, no matter which county issues it. The license takes about 15 minutes, costs around $82 in most counties, and is valid for 90 days. Texas has a 72-hour waiting period between the license being issued and the ceremony, with a few exceptions noted below. We'll walk you through exactly what's needed before your ceremony.

How do we reserve our date?

To reserve your date, send a non-refundable deposit by Zelle to (817) 925-4847: $100 for Just the Two of You and The Heartfelt, $200 for The Gathering, $300 for The Full Story. Once we receive it, your date is locked in. The balance is due before your ceremony, payable in cash or Zelle. Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early — ceremonies start at the scheduled time and late arrivals do not extend your booked time.

How quickly can we get married at your chapel?

We accept same-week bookings whenever the calendar allows — including weekends. After you get your Texas marriage license, a 72-hour waiting period normally applies before the ceremony. That waiting period is waived if either partner is active-duty military (with ID) or if you've completed the Twogether in Texas premarital course — in those cases you can marry the same day. Open 7 days a week.

Can we skip the 72-hour waiting period?

Yes — Texas law allows the 72-hour wait to be waived in two common cases. Active-duty military: if either partner is on active duty with the U.S. Armed Forces, just show your military ID at the clerk's office and the waiting period is waived automatically. Twogether in Texas: if you both complete the free Twogether in Texas premarital education course (about 8 hours, available online), you can present your completion certificate at the clerk's office to waive the 72-hour wait — and you'll also save $60 on your marriage license fee. Either way, you can be married the same day you get your license.

How is this different from a courthouse wedding or justice of the peace?

We're not a sign-and-go service. You drive up, walk inside our prepared chapel, and have a real ceremony with heartfelt vows — traditional or written your own way. No fluorescent lights, no rushed government office. Same simplicity as a courthouse wedding, but it actually feels like your wedding day.

Can guests come to our elopement?

Absolutely. Our smallest package is just the two of you, but our chapel comfortably hosts up to 100 guests. The Heartfelt package welcomes up to 5 guests, and our Full Story micro wedding accommodates up to 40 with reception space, food, cake, and photography.

Where is Drive Up & Wed located?

Our chapel is at 658 Hwy 26 in Hurst, TX 76054 — right in the heart of the DFW Mid-Cities. We're convenient to North Richland Hills, Colleyville, Bedford, Euless, Grapevine, and easily reachable from Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas.

Do you offer photography for elopements?

Yes. Professional wedding photography starts at $250 as an add-on, and is included in our Heartfelt package. Coverage typically includes 15 minutes before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, and up to 30 minutes of formal portraits afterward.
